Great Yarmouth Street Wardens and the BID

The award-winning Street Wardens have helped turn Great Yarmouth town centre into a cleaner, safer and friendlier place but without a BID we could no longer afford them.

Just imagine life without a team that:

In a survey conducted by Great Yarmouth Town Centre Partnership in May 2005, 75 local businesses were asked:

100% said yes.

Have Street Wardens helped reduce fear of crime for your customers?
91% said yes.

Overall, do you feel that the Street Wardens benefit your business?
93% said yes.

Those responses are hardly surprising. In 2004/5 there were 206 anti-social behavour incidents compared with 566 the previous year and the number of environmental issues reduced by 11 per cent over the same period. In the last six months of 2004/5 the number of crimes fell from 672 to 407.

The Street Wardens’ uniformed presence cannot be underestimated. They make the streets safer and make your customers feel safer so why risk losing them?
